Sandals St Lucia to unveil luxury suites
Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort & Spa in St Lucia will debut
four lavish 'Million Dollar Suites' this summer.
According to Sandals Resorts CEO, Adam Stewart, the new suites,
which will combine 700 square feet of living space and 400 square
feet of outdoor space to make one dramatic and very indulgent private
villa, are the epitome of the new Luxury Included Vacation Sandals
Resorts introduced late last year.
"We are committed to capturing the imagination of guests with
suites that provide not only the best elements of comfort, privacy,
service and opulence, but that offer settings that are truly awe-inspiring,"
said Stewart.
The new million-dollar suites are cantilevered above the resort's
highest point, ensuring an unhindered, full 180-degree view of the
Caribbean Sea and the island's lush countryside. An outdoor sundeck,
that is accessible by either the living room or bedroom, captures
sea breezes and features a waterfall that spills into a plunge pool
with Jacuzzi. The setting is among the most dramatic in Sandals'
collection of luxury suites that are also located in Jamaica, Antigua
and Nassau in The Bahamas. The four Million Dollar Suites will be
accessible by golf cart only and all are butler-category suites
to ensure the highest, most personalised level of service.
Design
Known for introducing as standard, four-poster mahogany beds, the
new Million Dollar Suites are a bit of a design departure for Sandals
Resorts. According to Adam Stewart, the traditional use of a four-poster
bed presented a design challenge. "We didn't want anything
to distract from the view."
Instead, a more contemporary, clean-lined scheme of neutrals for
the soft goods, including an oversize sectional in the living room,
upholstered headboard and footboard for the bed which is covered
in a custom-embroidered duvet and Egyptian cotton sheets. Along
with this, timeless, soft sheen French-polished, hand-made mahogany
furniture, was used throughout.
Each suite will have 42-inch plasma televisions which will be located
in the living area and bedroom, complemented by novel lighting techniques
highlighting windows that are draped in patent leather over linen.
In the bath, a freestanding tub set against a wall of white onyx
pebbles.
soothing and inviting
A custom vanity topped with thick marble and electric backlit mirrors
that eliminate glare for better shaving and make-up application
plus separate water close with bidet complete the setting. The result
is soothing and inviting.
"We are proud to introduce the new Million Dollar Suites at
Sandals Regency," Stewart continued. "They take even further
the new luxury experience we launched last year and best illustrate
our commitment to unprecedented levels of service and amenities.
We are a resort company dedicated to choice, style, and uncompromising
standards. These suites are the crowning glory of a collection of
spectacular suites that include enhanced food and beverage, lavish
spas, luxury amenities, and exclusive partnerships."
