Envisioning a bright future
Doctors Cave Beach Hotel, formerly known as Gloucester House, was originally operated by a United Kingdom-based company which started the hotel operation in 1956 with 46 rooms. Forty years ago, it was renamed Doctors Cave Beach Hotel when it changed ownership and began being operated by Lolita Evans and her ex-husband, Pat McGann. It was the second hotel that the entrepreneurial couple embarked upon, the first being the Summit Hotel.
The property remains a family-owned- and-operated business, and in 1992, André McGann, the son of Lolita and Pat McGann, became the managing director, who the remains actively involved in the hotel operations.
As the years went by, rooms were added to meet the growing demand in the tourism sector, which soared in the late '70s and early '80s.

The hotel, at present, has doubled in size since its original design. In addition, the property has also had many renovations done to keep up with the changing expectations of its loyal guests and today's society.
Over the 40 years of operation, the hotel has prided itself on the many past and present staff members who have expressed gratitude for their positive and life-changing experiences at the hotel.
